Richard Gallaher 941839 Posted May 22, 2007 at 02:45 AM Posted May 22, 2007 at 02:45 AM Atlanta has my vote. Atlanta is the center of the Southeast and has the best convention facilities and will be more competitively priced. Dallas and Houston is really south west. Orlando and Miami are to far south, but do have warm weather. Atlanta's ARTCC just south in Hampton, GA does have tours as does the Atlanta tower and the new STARs approach facility is just south in Peachtree City, GA. The Miami ARTCC is on 76th street but they are not too friendly with visits (I used to work there) and the Miami approach and tower facilities are not easy to get too or into. Orlando does have Disney and I do know some of the tower/approach facilities people there.

Dont plan on getting into any control facility at all... It requires at least 2 weeks notice and a backround check...all of which i dont think will happen in the 3 days of teh convention...plus they wont let that many people in. Nate Johns Posted May 23, 2007 at 02:30 AM Posted May 23, 2007 at 02:30 AM A background check? Wow... security sounds tigher out there. ZAB (and we're short staffed too) will let people in just on the approval of the OM, provided the visitor(s) is/are english speaking, older than 18, and have a government ID (DL or the like). 2 weeks lead time though? Ouch. ~Nate Nate Johns "All things are difficult before they are easy." - Dr. Thomas Fuller, Gnomologia, 1732

Or maybe people are publicizing how they voted. Nah, I think it's the other way. Personally, I don't care if people "advertise" their city of choice in here. The only vote that is going to count is the one I receive in my email per the above mentioned instructions. Don't worry! Be happy!
