Your ID is the same as your CID.. in your case 1007090.. You have to first register with VATUSA. Than they will send you a second p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]word. "not to be used on the network" Its only for the VATUSA site. After that Im not sure because VATUSA is switching things around. I know they have gone back to just putting out controllers as S1's to ARTCC's and starting from scratch. I dont think you have to take a "first" exam until you get with the ARTCC is from what I am understanding

Carter,

When you join one of the next steps is to select a Region and a Division. In the case of North America / United States, an automated process takes over. Once VATUSA receives the information from VATSIM, a VATUSA p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]word is [Mod - Happy Thoughts]igned. This p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]word is for the VATUSA site only, and your original VATSIM ID and p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]word remain the same for logging into the network.

Granted, once you select the Division the change is not instanteous. It takes time for the sync to occur and the automated emails to be sent. A general rule of thumb is to allow up to 48 hours for the changes to propogate.

Problem is they only register in one place. That union gerbel in the VATUSA website wheel takes care of the other half. It just takes a few hours to process sometimes.

Just as a data point, it took 11 hours yesterday for my p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]word to come through.

Thanks for the explanation guys... I was having a heck of a time trying to figure out how to get my p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]word from VATUSA. I realized I had not selected a Division on VATSIM. Now that I have, I [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ume I need to wait a few hours (or days... lol) for my p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]word to get sent over. Thanks again!

I have belonged to a Regioin/Divisiion since I joined VATSIM in 2004. I never received any VATUSA p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]word. Granted I have been a pilot, but I have just now felt comfortable breaking into controlling, but there has never been any VATUSA p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]word sent to me. Apologies, I know this is an older post, but I'm trying to get signed up and it's one roadblock after another. The Training Acadamy is also closed down. is there any thing new? Do I need to do something different?

Scott I just checked the systems you do have an account with us. If you lost your p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]word go to http://www.vatusa.org/html/user.php?op=lostp[Mod - Happy Thoughts]screen&module=NS-LostP[Mod - Happy Thoughts]word and change it there. Your username is your CID if you don't know.
