Instrument Panel Problem after download of FSX SP1

Here's the problem, I have FSX standard edition and I just recently downloaded SP1. I then found out that I also needed an SDK update but I didn't have the original SDK because it only comes with the delux version. So I just downloaded SP1, nothing else. Before I downloaded SP1 I was getting good frames but I heard that SP1 would improve everything, so thats why i decided to download it. Anyway, when I started FSX again everything was great,good frames, but when I hit the F10 key to jump to my 2D intrument panel, the frame rate was terrible, there was like a couple frames per second. Every other view was fine except the intrument one. How can I fix this problem? Is the only solution to uninstall FSX and then reinstall?
