Julian Wayne 960331 Posted June 19, 2007 at 04:04 PM Posted June 19, 2007 at 04:04 PM (edited) Hey everyone, I was just reading a topic in another forum about alternate aiports and the person later talked about airport delay's and cancellations. I know it would be a long shot but is there any way a person or group of people could enhance VRC/ASRC and squawkbox so if there are delays or cancellations at the a certain airport in the real world, they could incorporate those into the VATSIM network? Anyway, just a thought I had that would make VATSIM even greater than it is now. Keith Smith Posted June 19, 2007 at 04:14 PM Posted June 19, 2007 at 04:14 PM Julian, Interesting question, but I don't think delays related to real world traffic congestion should be modelled on VATSIM. If I were to fly KSFO to KLAX on VATSIM and was put into a 15 min hold for real world traffic congestion, only to see there's actually just 3 planes ahead of me on VATSIM, I would not be pleased. Delays do occur on VATSIM, usually as a result of traffic congestion during an event. I think that should continue to be the case, disregarding real world traffic conditions. Julian Wayne 960331 Posted June 19, 2007 at 04:18 PM Author Posted June 19, 2007 at 04:18 PM Yeah, I didn't really put into concideration that airports here aren't always staffed with ATC . And there isn't always a great amount of traffic at certain airports. Thanks for responce Thanks, Julian "JW" Wayne
