Lennart Vedin Posted June 25, 2007 at 07:27 AM Posted June 25, 2007 at 07:27 AM ok i see you have read the PRC, thats good. Best you tell what VATSIM client software you are use, there are basically two chose, Squawkbox 3 (not compatible FSX), or FSInn. And what version of FS (Flightsim) do you use. Also add and explain what you do (if anything) when you try start flying online at VATSIM. An EXAMPLE of equipment, FS2004 and Squawkbox 3: When you fly online at VATSIM you do NOT use the VATSIM site ( http://www.vatsim.net ) . You only use FS2004 and Squawkbox 3. So you start FS2004, select an aircraft and park at an airport. Then you start Squawkbox 3 and connect to VATSIM following the instruction for Squawkbox 3. If there are no aircraft and no ATC at the location you park, nothing happen different from fly offline. You should use e.g. "ServInfo" http://www.avsim.com/hangar/utils/servinfo to first see where ATC and/or other aircrafts are available. ServInfo is not required to fly at VATSIM, but it is just a way to view available ATC and other aircrafts that currently are flying online at VATSIM. / Lennart Vedin /
