Larry James 901346 Posted July 7, 2007 at 12:12 PM Posted July 7, 2007 at 12:12 PM Most likely you're running version 1.2. With that version you have an option to install the VB Library that is default on most systems. This is fixed in version 1.3 where it automatically checks and updates the files. Take a look at: (Skip 1.2 get 1.3) http://forums.vatsim.net/viewtopic.php?p=144876&highlight=#144876 . You can get 1.3 at: http://www.mcdu.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4363 . -- L. James -- L. D. James Bruce 1016960 Posted July 7, 2007 at 12:30 PM Author Posted July 7, 2007 at 12:30 PM hey thanks sadly a new problem, i installed copilot fine but now fsinn half way through installation a message comes up saying: C/:program files/FSDT/FWINN/FWINN.exe and gives me the option of: abort, retry or ignore. What now?
Larry James 901346 Posted July 7, 2007 at 12:35 PM Posted July 7, 2007 at 12:35 PM I'm sure you tried to do a clean uninstall, but apparently one of the executionals was still running, so that file couldn't update. Restart the computer to release FWINN.exe and try the install again. -- L. James -- L. D. Larry James 901346 Posted July 8, 2007 at 11:40 AM Posted July 8, 2007 at 11:40 AM There are a couple of checks. I'm using the information at: http://wiki.mcdu.com/fsinn:problemsolution#runtime_error_372_about_fscopilotfsinn.ocx_when_running_fsui_outside_fsx . Without starting Flight Simulator, go to your Start Menu -> FSFDT -> FSInn UI. Click on Chat. Let me know if you get this error message when Flight Simulator isn't running. If it runs, then you can exit out of FSInn UI and it should be fixed. If you get the error message there are a few other steps. -- L. James -- L. D. JB Try the First Flight section in the PRC. You can use Servinfo to check for traffic/controllers at the Airport. Try tunning to the controller's channel (or Unicom) and see if you can communicate VIA text to others. -- L. James -- L. D. James Bruce 1016960 Posted July 8, 2007 at 12:28 PM Author Posted July 8, 2007 at 12:28 PM yeah.... uh, what i meen is that in the setup help it says: To connect to VATSIM, simply press the VATSIM button in the left pane of FSInn Control Panel. Wait a few seconds, the VATSIM button now turns green and also the CHAT button is flashing on the right pane of FSInn Control Panel. Click the Chat button to open the Chat Box and you will see a connection message from VATSIM indicating we are connected! It dosn't indicate that im connect when i click on chat and it dosn't even flash
Larry James 901346 Posted July 8, 2007 at 02:15 PM Posted July 8, 2007 at 02:15 PM Hi, James. I understood what you were saying. I was still thinking that, maybe during the process of a session, the problem might clear itself. Did you test the First Flight procedures? When you connect, are you able to see your connection status on servinfo? Are you, now, running the Inn Control Panel from inside Flight Simulator? Also, take a look at Inn Control Panel -> Set -> Network -> VATSIM and tell me what you see at the bottom of the window. It should show you the connection status or appropriate error message. -- L.
