Cannot keep FS9 from crashing MP now.

I've been away from the hobby for about a year. Busy with work, etc.

I'm now back and built a brand new system that I've been very impressed with and that runs FS9 the way we always wanted it to run. I'll get to FSX when I get to it.

However, I just re-installed FS9, patched it, installed my preferred plane (PSS Dash 8 w/USA livery) along with Ultimate Terrain USA, Ground Environment Pro, Flight Environment and FS Navigator. I then installed Squawkbox 3.

When I connect everything is fine and then 3-5 minutes in, CRASH. I'm dumped out of the game and back to the desktop if I'm lucky. Generally FS9 just dies within the sim and I have to shut it down.

I then tried FS INN and ran into the same problem.

UPnP is disabled in the router. The ports that should be open are open. I've unloaded my anti-virus software in case that was it.

Saw a strange note on the SB3 forums that said Nvidia at AA >4x was no good so I dropped down to 4x.

Nothing is solving this. Is my only recourse really to just either re-install FS9 AGAIN and start bit-by-bit or move to FSX to see if that fixes it?

I would move to FSX SP1.

As far as the router, UPnP enabled for FSInn, disabled for SB3.

Did you try the latest FSInn update? http://forums.vatsim.net/viewtopic.php?t=19575 .

If you go with FSX take a look at the quick reference installation chart at: http://forums.vatsim.net/viewtopic.php?t=20466

For FSInn/VATSIM issues, please test the FSInn Installation sticky and linked FAQ. It really works!
