i cant get my drop down window on fsx to work!!!!!!!!!

You'd get better help if your subject described your problem better. People with experience in that area would be more likely to look at it.

 

Also, the problem you're having isn't clear "to me".

 

Which drop down are you looking for? What are you doing to try to see a drop down?

 

You'll only have a drop down if you're in a flight session, whether it's Free Flight, Multiplayer or the Mission mode. If you're in full screen you have to hit the ALT key to see the menu options. If you're in the Windowed mode, holding down the ALT key will hide the menus, but if you tap the ALT key they should come back.

 

If you've made it to that point and see the menus and click the mouse on the menus, you should get a drop down on any of the menus you see. If you click on the menus and nothing happens, you might have a corrupted FSX installation.

 

My first recommendation would be to insure you have s stabled installation of FSX SP1. If you tried to install SP1 on top of an FSX installation that already has addon's then that might be the source of your corrupted state. To fix this, you might have to uninstall FSX and restart from a fresh Install. First install FSX, then Install SP1. From there your menus should work.
