Receiving Voice problem

Hey guys,

Recently, I have done approach ATC training on the sweatbox but for some reason, I couldn't receive any voice what so ever from my trainer. The voice receive light didn't even go on! Any reason why?! I actually just realized that I dont think I started my multiplayer session. Could that be the reason?
