Chris Brew 814351 Posted July 19, 2007 at 03:06 PM Posted July 19, 2007 at 03:06 PM I found out recently that I'm able to run TWRTrainer with VISTA. Originally it was a no go, so I have to [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ume that one of the MS updates magically did something. The same thing happened with ACSIm- originally it didnt work either. Kyle Steever 810905 Posted August 16, 2007 at 03:51 PM Posted August 16, 2007 at 03:51 PM Chris, I'm running vista ultimate and only can run TowerSIM for 10 minutes. I was really excited to see you post this so I installed all the updates accross the board and when I did a towersim session with a student we lasted 10-15 minutes before all my icons were gone. This may be a dual monitor issue though if it is working fine for you on a single. vZME Air Traffic Manager ... --- ... ... --- ...
Chris Brew 814351 Posted August 16, 2007 at 04:46 PM Author Posted August 16, 2007 at 04:46 PM The only outstanding issue I have is that I can only see 5 aircraft with the virtual tower view. If I load more than five aircraft into a session, none will be displayed. If I have 5 visible aircraft in a session and then try to add more manually they will not appear. Chris Brew 814351 Posted August 17, 2007 at 10:55 PM Author Posted August 17, 2007 at 10:55 PM With one monitor I have no problems at all. However when I run two monitors and am switching back and forth between monitors, opening and closing windows eventually things go a bit wacky but I chalk it up to me running so many programs at one time and hammering the system's resources. Chris Brew 814351 Posted September 2, 2007 at 04:15 PM Author Posted September 2, 2007 at 04:15 PM Kyle, there is a known glitch that happens when two monitors are being used under VISTA. I've read about it and of how it's been fixed but havent tried it myself yet.
