Folks -

I have an older system that plugs along with FS2004 pretty well considering (specs below)

I currently have two video cards: an AGP ATI Radeon 9600 series 128mg card and a PCI ATI Radeon 9250 256mb card installed. I have been running both cards off the 9600 drivers for quite sometime with no issues. Last night I realized I was only getting 128mb of performance from the 9250 and updated the drivers for both cards. I am running two monitors for various reasons - primarily set up as a dual cockpit with pilot and co-pilot stations - the co-pilot station is being run by the 9600.

The 9600 is still preforming perfectly and displays full weather etc. The 9250 is a slightly different story: now that I am getting 256mb of performance from the 9250 I am not seeing fog in FS2004 - it is still present on the 9600 card.

I uninstalled the 9250 drivers and it resorted to the 9600 drivers - fog is back but the card is operating at 128mb. So I re-installed the 9250 drivers...no fog. I should mention that if I manually set visibility to say 3/4 of a mile, I see fog on the both the 9250 and 9600 cards - however visibility returns to unlimited (clouds are still present - just no haze/fog) on the 9250 when I break thru cloud layers while the cockpit display (copilot) being run by the 9600 will still show the fog/haze.

Anyone have any ideas? I'd really like to get 256mb out of the card....and fog too.

System is an AMD anthalon 1.5Ghz with 512mb of ram with windows XP SP2 - like I said it's old but it serves my needs well.

any help or ideas would be appreciated!!
