Robert Ahuja 1019369 Posted July 24, 2007 at 03:06 AM Posted July 24, 2007 at 03:06 AM Hi, My copy of X-Plane 8.60 comes in the mail on wednesday. I have never done VAT or other simulations before. Is there anything I need to know that is not in the PRC? Does it matter what aircraft I fly or is it specifically commercial airliners and general aviation aircraft? Battlefield 2 is nowhere near as in depth as this.
Peter Nolin 954217 Posted July 24, 2007 at 01:09 PM Posted July 24, 2007 at 01:09 PM Not really an X-Plane specific question. But I usually give new people two links which gives a kickstart right into it. http://www.laartcc.org/tf/tutorial.pdf and the audioversion of it http://www.laartcc.org/tf/tutorial.mp3 Reading the "For pilots" (or similar) sections on different ARTCC homepages will teach you ALOT. Remember, planning is a part of flying. And before flying, *know* your plane. You should know what every button and knob do so it's not a factor when you are in a hurry. All controllers love when you have charts and those can be found in the PRC aswell.
