Hi all,

As some of you may know, India is having an event on Saturday 28th July at 1100zulu for about 4-5 hours in memory of the tragic 2005 floods which caused multiple loss of life and damage to Mumbai.

We at Emirates are supporting this event and are manning our positions on the day.

We still need a controller for OOMM_CTR (Muscat) if anyone is free to work this position, so that we have continuity of control right through to India (VABB). Help would be approeciated.

Hope to see you at the event. Cheers

Hi All,

A very big thank you to all those who joined us for the event. It was a very nice event and it kept us busy for most of the 5 hours it was in operation. We also have to thank the controllers in India who were very kind to us during this event.

Everyone appeared to enjoy the experience. Well done to Steven and Mohammed who gave some excellent ATC at OMDB

Lets all do it again one day.

And a thank you to Amir and Navid who also supported the event in Iran.

Best wishes

John Jones Emirates-vacc

I am pleased to inform you all, there was no conflict, no accident and the controlling and piloting was spectacular.

I, behalf of VATSIM INDIA, thank all the above ATC and Pilots for their participation in the Event and support for the people of Mumbai.

I would also like to thank D ick Teh and the rest of VATSEA for supporting our event.

A big hand to John Jones for mobilizing the Middle East Control and giving us tremendous support during and the build up for the event.

We would also like to thank Tony Forrest of Noble Air for not only supporting the event, but bringing in a whole load of pilots all the way from Australia. Your kind gesture is greatly appreciated. We also thank Thomas Snoeck, Rob Scott and the rest of the APG Group for supporting this event and sending the AFA and PAY pilots from APG INDIA to participate in this event. Rahul Rasquinha and Jet Airways Virtual also made their support and presence felt, we thank you all once again.

A special thank you to Joel Lesser of VATSIM and Michal Rok on Vroute for publishing and promoting our event.

Last, but definitely not the least a huge round of applause for Jeff Clark, Norman Blackburn and Terry Scanlan amongst the other HIT SQUAD members who persevered and brought VATINDIA to where it is now, a well manned and well oiled airspace, a meeting point for East and West. We really appreciate their effort and hard work which has led up to this, first ever self sustained event of VATINDIA a tremendous success.

We look forward to more participation in all capacities in the future.

On behalf of Deepan Mehta and the staff of VATSIM INDIA , I thank you all once again.
