Michael Lawrence 1019130 Posted August 4, 2007 at 11:51 PM Posted August 4, 2007 at 11:51 PM I currently run FS24K on W2K because everything works great on W2K. When I try to run any games or sims on my Windows XP HE partition, the graphics are always fatally screwed up. My question is: Would it be better to trash my Windows XP HE and get Pro version or would it be better to trash my Radeon 9600 card and get an nVidia card? The reason I ask is it looks like I'll have to get PMDG soon, which only runs on WXP.
Larry James 901346 Posted August 5, 2007 at 12:07 AM Posted August 5, 2007 at 12:07 AM Games will work equally on the Home or Professional edition. However, I would prefer the Professional edition for some of the network and administration capabilities it has. But again, in direct response to your question, it wouldn't matter. You didn't specify which card. Both ATI and nVidia make good cards. If you where thinking of getting a cheap nVidia card, it would be better to get the Radeon 9600. However, I prefer the nVideo cards over the ATI cards. I can't speak technically on the matter, but with having experience with both, my better experiences have been with the nVidia. -- L.
