I see posts going back to 10/06 saying SB4 will be released in days for FSX, however I see nothing so far. Did I miss something? Correct me if I am wrong - I need SB4 for a FSX with Vista set-up to fly on-line with VATSIM.

I know FSini is another option, but I couldn't get it installed correctly and I am waiting for SB4.

Actually it might be more that you chose not to install it. If you have a working version of Flight Simulator and a proper working OS, and know how to configure your Firewall not to block connection, you it would take me minutes to figure out what you're doing wrong if you wanted to "get it installed correctly".

If you've already posted a message somewhere and one of the users failed to address your issue, please post the link, and I'll correct the problem.

Of course not wanting to connect with FSInn is a different matter. Can't install would have to be an extremely simple over site.

Well, correct me if I'm wrong as far as SqwawkBox goes:.

1. For FSX, SB4 is needed.

2. SB4 is not curently out, but die soon.

This will determine if I should give FSini a second shot.

Thank You

Paul

Wrong. Take a look at the PRC and the link I gave you for Squawkbox.

2. SB4 is not curently out, but die soon.

Wrong. Squawkbox is in development. Die isn't in the question. Again take a look at the link I gave you for Squawkbox.

For your information, there was a large time frame between SB2.x and SB3. It didn't die.

This will determine if I should give FSini a second shot.

Thank You

Paul

I'm not trying to persuade you to fly FSInn. I just wanted to dispel an impression you might give to people reading the PRC for what is available for flying on VATSIM. Your message could give the impression that you followed the simple steps for installing FSInn and it failed. Since posting my last response to you, I looked for messages from you in relations to installing FSInn. I see one message with a reference. It's basically the same message you just posted. I had replied to that message showing you what you most likely did wrong.

There wasn't an acknowledge of my reply to you. And as I eluded to in this thread, your message sounded more like an effort to bash FSInn than any interest in installing it.

I'm sure you put the same effort in installing FSInn that you put into understanding the state of SB4 which is announced many times.
