FSInn Version 1.2 was released before FSX SP1. FSInn1.2 had introductory support for FSX. It doesn't have support for FSX SP1. This is mentioned in the PRC.

You would have to run FSInn1.3 for FSX. Since the FSX Service Pack 1 is the way to go with FSX, FSInn1.2 no longer supports FSX. You will now have to upgradae to FSInn1.3 for FSX.

Please take a look at the first message in the FSInn support forum, titled, "Announcement: Installing FSInn." The link to the announcement that answers these question is also referenced in the PRC.

The message shouldn't be so annoying since it's the system's only way of notifying you that you're doing something wrong, and giving you an opportunity to have the issue addressed.

Actually what you have gathered is wrong. If you take a look at the announcement, "Installing FSInn", you'd know the 1.3 is stabled. The weather feature will be added in the future. But this doesn't take away from the stability.

If it weren't stabled, I wouldn't have said it was.

To address that error, click on Start -> Programs -> FSFDT -> FSInn UI -> Chat. Exit FSInnUI.

This is referenced in the announcement message I gave you. It's my effort to have everything in one place to me it easy for all the users to see what to do. It took a few months to get it in the PRC, the but a link to the announcement is now in the PRC.

I usually point to the announcement to insure that the steps will resolve any issues that a user is having. If it doesn't, I'll update it. But so far it does. Everything is covered.

The most important thing is that it's just a few steps, and it always works with the stabled 1.3 version that has been made available by Benjamin. (That is, if the user follows the few steps).

If you have a problem, it'd mean that one of the installation/setup steps is missed.

I`ve looked on forums, taken all advice, still no joy, btw the file name actually says it is a beta, I ensured all steps were correctly followed in installation, the conclusion I eventually come to is that it`s not compatible with Windows Vista, which is a bit of a shame, seeing as I will only be able to make it on Vatsim every 2 weeks.

Thanks for the help,,,

Oh and something else I missed, I followed the directory you mentioned in there, there is no mention of the file you said, the 3 files in that folder are:

FSInn UI (Uninstall)

FSCopilotFSInn.ocx ( ActiveX)

Richtx32.ocx (Active X)

I don’t know where you were looking, but you could have started out by looking in the PRC. A lot of emphasis is given to everyone to start at the PRC. Under software (in the PRC) it will tell you that Windows Vista and FSX is supported starting with FSInn1.3.

You can also look at the first message in the FSInn Support Forum area ( Announcement: Installingt FSInn - http://forums.vatsim.net/viewtopic.php?t=20466 ). Windows Vista and FSX is used in the setup example. Please look at the link I just gave you. Follow the steps and I [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ure you, it’ll work the first time and every time.

If you have a problem, it will be, because you missed one of the steps.

I don’t mind answering your questions. But will you please try to use an example in the instructions when phrasing your question.

The things you mention are not in any of the messages I gave you. Apparently you browsed the hard drive rather than browsing the start menu. Take a look again at the message I gave you, and look at the “Start Menuâ€
