RVSM Airspace in Hong Kong and Taipei FIR

Dear ATCs / Pilots

 

The RVSM airspace system already implemented for a while. Less clarify the available levels in Hong Kong FIR and Taipei FIR.

 

RVSM airspace: FL290 - FL410 inclusive

 

Route A1 (both HK and Taipei): South / Southwest bound ONLY.

Available level : 310, 320, 350, 360, 390, 400

 

 

 

Route M750 (within Taipei, V3 transition via ENVAR): North / Northeast bound ONLY.

Available level: 290, 300, 330, 340, 370, 380

Dear Pilots and ATCs,

 

I would like to add a few sentence related to the RVSM airspace between Hong Kong FIR and Taipei FIR

 

According to Flight Level [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ignment Scheme(FLAS)

 

North/North-East bound traffic going through A1/G851 could get FL270 or below only.(FL290 or above not avaliable)

 

FL300, FL340 and FL380 on RNAV Route M750 are only available for traffic landing within Taipei FIR.

FL320, FL360 and FL400 on ATS Route A1/G581 are only available for traffic landing Hong Kong or Macau.

And,

 

FL290, FL300 FL330, FL370 and FL410 could be used for ATS Route G86,which FL300 is only for traffic landing Taipei

G86 is a unidirectional eastbound route within Hong Kong FIR but bi-directional route within Taipei FIR.

Traffic departing Hong Kong, going through G86 could be filed as VHHH OCEAN1A-E OCEAN DCT SKATE DCT KAPLI G86.....

The RVSM airspace between Taipei and Hong Kong FIR has been updated since August 28, 2008.

The available flight levels are stated below.

 

ROUTE A1/G581 (Westbond: To Hong Kong FIR)

FL280*, 300, 320, 340, 360, 380, 400

*requires prior co-ordination.

 

ROUTE M750 (Eastbond: To Taipei FIR)

FL290, 310, 330, 350, 370, 390, 410

Minimum level FL270.

 

[Route G581: M750 DADON G581] (Eastbond: To Taipei FIR)

FL290, 330, 370, 410

 

ROUTE A1 (Eastbond: To Taipei FIR)

At or below FL270

 

ROUTE G86 (Westbond: To Hong Kong FIR)

FL300, 340, 380, 400#

#FL400 not available 0001 to 1600 UTC.

 

ROUTE G86 (Eastbond: To Taipei FIR)

FL290, 330, 370, 390+, 410

+for destinations in Taipei FIR only; no pre-departure coordination 1601 to 2300 UTC.
