Jim Karn 850752 Posted September 3, 2007 at 11:23 AM Posted September 3, 2007 at 11:23 AM Hi Lewis, Was the aircraft designed for FSX or FS9? Do you have "Show all variations" checked in the lower portion of the select aircraft screen? Regards, Jim Karn

In conjunction with the tips Jim gave you, you'll also have to follow the install instructions from where you got the plane. The distributer should mention which Flight Simulator version it was designed for, and give install instructions. If it's from your VA, that should make it easier for you to have access to the distributer. -- L. James -- L. D. Keith Dixon 1025792 Posted September 6, 2007 at 06:07 AM Posted September 6, 2007 at 06:07 AM I created a repaint of the fsx 737-800. I had to crate a new directory , containing all the images, within the 737 folder C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\b737_800\Texture.BA but it wouldn't appear in fsx until I edited the aircraft.cfg file to contain the following [fltsim.6] title=Boeing 737-800 British Airways sim=Boeing737-800 model= panel= sound= texture=ba kb_checklists=Boeing737-800_check kb_reference=Boeing737-800_ref atc_id=G-OXLA atc_airline=Speed Bird atc_flight_number=BAW1123 ui_manufacturer="Boeing" ui_type="737-800" ui_variation="British Airways" ui_typerole="Commercial Airliner" ui_createdby="Keith Dixon" description="One should hardly be surprised that the world's most prolific manufacturer of commercial aircraft is also the producer of the world's most popular jetliner. The 737 became the best-selling commercial jetliner worldwide when orders for it hit 1,831 in June 1987 (surp[Mod - Happy Thoughts]ing Boeing's own 727 as the previous champ). However, it wasn't always that way\s in the first few years of production, there were so few orders that Boeing considered canceling the program. They didn't, and the airplane has more than proven itself in over three decades of service."

Distributing authors will have the specifics for installing their addon, either automatic or as part of an included text insert. -- L. James -- L. D.
