Mathew Magera 931028 Posted September 25, 2007 at 01:00 AM Posted September 25, 2007 at 01:00 AM Calling all Pilots and Virtual Airlines! We all know the familiar tune from the Drew Carey Show, but now we take the song to a whole new level as we host an event entitled "Cleveland Rocks" because Cleveland really does Rock! We want to show you how great Cleveland ARTCC and the Cleveland TRACON really is by inviting you to fly in or out on Saturday October 20th from 6-10pm ET. You will receive uncomparable Air Traffic Control from the most professional and efficient controllers around. We want you to pull into your gate at the end of your flight and say, 'Cleveland Rocks!' This is where we need our VAs… Another way we will show how much Cleveland really rocks will be in the form of a little contest we like to call 'Coloring Cleveland.' The grand prize for this contest will be a FREE copy of the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport scenery from Blue Print Simulations, and let me tell just say this scenery rocks! All you have to do to participate in this contest is support your virtual airline. Pilots are asked to fly their colors in or out of Cleveland Hopkins. While you are doing the flying, we are doing the tallying. Whichever Virtual Airline has the most aircraft flying in or out of Cleveland Hopkins will be declared the winner. Obviously the scenery can not be split among every member of the airline. So, with the approval of the CEO of the airline, which ever of their pilots has the most hours logged for the month will be the winner of the scenery, however, that person must have logged at least one flight during the event. If you fly and represent your airline, you may have a better chance of winning the scenery. At the end of the contest we want the recipient airline and recipient of the scenery to be able to say Cleveland Rocks! We at ZOB don’t want to surprise an airline at the end of the event saying they have won a free copy of scenery that they knew nothing about which is one of the reasons for this post. The other reason I write is that we want to know if your VA is interested in participating in our contest. This is only to prevent giving the prize to an airline who knew nothing about the contest. An email was sent to many of the VAs of North America. If you are a pilot for a VA, ask your staff whether or not they know about the event and if not, shoot me an email and I will gladly get the information out to them. Of course you’ll need to provide me an email address. If you are on the senior staff of a VA in North America and you are interested in participating, please email [email protected] explaining which virtual airline you are representing and if you are planning to participate. Please have these emails sent ASAP so we can formulate a scorecard in enough time. Thank you for your time, I hope you are just as excited about this event/contest as we are! If you have any questions, email the address listed above.
