Opher Ben Peretz 882232 Posted October 1, 2007 at 08:18 AM Posted October 1, 2007 at 08:18 AM I've defined sectorlines and am getting an error for the sector border line name, the last text line I quoted below. Andreas Fuchs Posted October 1, 2007 at 09:20 AM Posted October 1, 2007 at 09:20 AM (edited) Disclaimer: what I wrote here is not correct, just in case someone else has the same problem and does not read on in this thread Hi Opher, the COORDs of TMA_SLAND are in the wrong order, just invert the order and it will work because you need to connect the last point of TMA_OJAC with the first point of TMA_W, but at the moment it is the other way around so Euroscope can't close the gap. Opher Ben Peretz 882232 Posted October 1, 2007 at 10:12 AM Author Posted October 1, 2007 at 10:12 AM Thanks a lot Andreas, I'll change it. Hi Opher, the COORDs of TMA_SLAND are in the wrong order, just invert the order and it will work because you need to connect the last point of TMA_OJAC with the first point of TMA_W, but at the moment it is the other way around so Euroscope can't close the gap. Opher Ben Peretz 882232 Posted October 1, 2007 at 10:36 AM Author Posted October 1, 2007 at 10:36 AM The order is now fixed to form one continuous borderline around TMA, but the error message still remains, any idea please? thanks Regards, Opher Ben Peretz Senior Instructor
Jean-Luc Lecardinal 979490 Posted October 1, 2007 at 02:40 PM Posted October 1, 2007 at 02:40 PM Hello Opher, Just remove the comments at the end of each sector definition line. for example, "SECTORLINE:TMA_W;OVERWATER BORDER" becomes "SECTORLINE:TMA_W" regards Jean-Luc
Gergely Csernak Posted October 1, 2007 at 03:27 PM Posted October 1, 2007 at 03:27 PM Opher, Jean-Luc is right. See the previos post about it at http://forums.vatsim.net/viewtopic.php?t=23381. Hi Opher, the COORDs of TMA_SLAND are in the wrong order, just invert the order and it will work because you need to connect the last point of TMA_OJAC with the first point of TMA_W, but at the moment it is the other way around so Euroscope can't close the gap. Andreas, That is not correct. The order of the coordinates along a sectorline can be forward or backward. EuroScope is able to use it if the direction is just the opposite to the normal order for the sector (at least it is designed to be). Without that it would not be possible to reuse the same border for the neighbor sectors. Gergely. EuroScope developer
Andreas Fuchs Posted October 1, 2007 at 04:08 PM Posted October 1, 2007 at 04:08 PM Hi Gergely, ops! At least I had problems with sectors, because some sector-lines were in reverse order. It worked out only when I inverted certain sector-lines, probably something else was wrong. In the manual I read Make sure a borderline and the next borderline have the end/start points common so it will be able to create a continuous border. Also make sure that it is a closed border, that is, that the last line ends at the start point of the first line. ...and interpreted this like "COORDs" need to be in sequence in one direction. If it is the way that you say, I can delete a few lines again, because they are just a copy of the other, in inverted order @Opher: sorry for telling you some c.rap!!! Luckily the sector-lines that I told you to invert was not that long. I did it for sector-lines that had 30 COORD-points, stupid me!!!
