Shane,

The sites you should visit and join are dependent upon whether you would like to be a pilot or a controller. Which of the two roles are you looking to undertake?

Welcome to VATSIM Shane.

Please start with the PRC (www.vatsim.net/prc) if you have not already.

You are not based anywhere. You're welcome to fly from any airport you like, to any airport you like, using any callsign you like (please do keep the callsigns real world though - United Airlines flight 32 would be UAL32 or UAL032, not UNITED32). You're welcome to join a Virtual Airline if you like, but it is not required to fly with that Airline's callsign/livery.

Having some real life time should help you to tranisition nicely.

Welcome, and if you have questions after going through the PRC please let us know.

Shane,

If you are truly interested in stepping up in your training, feel free to drop me an email. We run something called the Virtual Flight Training Center and train people to fly in the US similar to the real world. Nothing here is required, only optional.

Take care,

Justin

P.S. E-mail - [email protected] if you want to talk.

Hello, I know that these questions have been asked before but i need to make sure before I do something stupid.

i have FSX with windows XP. And cant get FSINN to wok rt. I have download and followed all the instructions.

EXCEPT ONE

I installed all the software after I put all the add on aircraft, sencery, and fsuip.

I remember how easy FS98 was still feel like am at that level of thinking (GRRRR)

What I am about ready to do is unistall FSX again and start with a fresh copy.

I get the control panel to work and The VATSIM box is green. But I dont think its connected.

Now with FSX usually with any muti player you go through game spy or connect to a server using multi player.

So maybe I just am not sure how to connect to muti player.

So this is where I am now and stuck.

Thanks for any help.

Shane
