Bernard Candela 842880 Posted October 14, 2007 at 07:11 AM Posted October 14, 2007 at 07:11 AM Hello all, Can anyone explain the signification of the IAS IAS>= option which is not very explicit by itself ? the docomeentation says: IAS free - It means that the aircraft will define its speed as described above. IAS = - In this case the speed will be exactly the one defined by the slider. IAS IAS >= - The same as above but it leaves the speed only when the free speed is higher. Gergely Csernak Posted October 14, 2007 at 09:54 AM Posted October 14, 2007 at 09:54 AM Bernard, The IAS >= is planned for the departure AC. In this case it will speed up to the set IAS value, but if the speed formula dictates higher then resets the restriction and flies at higher speed. But never slower. Gergely.
