I need help with vatsim installations (online rookie)

I have registered at the vatsim website because I've been flying with FS since the release of FS2000. The problem is I want to get interactive, and the blurb that comes with the vatsim software is OK if you've had previous experience. Sure, I've read the docs. but am no further forward. I fly with the default 737-400 with FS2crew. Could somebody please give me a simplified step-by-step guide to installing and flying with the vatsim software. The realism levels offered by FS2crew are unparalleled, but no fun with default ATC. I realy want to get 'real' with my flying. Please, please help!!!

Hello Robert Verlander and welcome to VATSIM !

 

Vatsim intend to make online flying close to real, include real procedures and trained real people at ATC . You speak with those ATC people using voice. You can also use text to communicate with ATC or with other pilots.

 

All basic software to fly on Vatsim are availabe at http://www.vatsim.net/ -> Pilot Resources -> Pilot Software -> "Complete VATSIM Software Package for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Convenient one download package for Microsoft Flight Simulator pilots. ". All software docomeent are included.

 

With this you can connect and to get technically ready for Vatsim.

how to get access to all basic required lessons docomeent and troubleshoot. The lessons are required before fly on Vatsim.

 

 

Anybody experienced or not are welcome to fly on Vatsim. There are some requirements from pilots as you can read in the lessons.

 

I don't know what FS2crew is. You can use any addon and airplane as long as you follow the Vatsim rules as in the lessons.

 

On Vatsim, you speak your self with ATC making requests, and you must follow the ATC instructions.
