Ali Abou-Zeid Posted October 21, 2007 at 04:49 PM Posted October 21, 2007 at 04:49 PM It is with great regret that I announce today the closing of Egypt VACC. I have unfortunately had enough of arguments and too many conflicts. The website will close down on 1st November 2007, after 1 year, 1 month and 2 weeks of Egypt VACC being online. I wish everybody here a great future ATCing in VATSIM, and maybe someone would make another better Egypt VACC. It's been a pleasure serving here, I can't thank everybody enough, those who helped maintain and those who helped drive me to take that decision. Good luck! Thomas Mathieu 998318 Posted October 21, 2007 at 11:26 PM Posted October 21, 2007 at 11:26 PM It is a very sad day for VATSIM and VATAME Seeing a whole VATSIM orginization close was something I never expected to see on VATSIM. I hope this is not a prelude of things to come for VATSIM. The loss of Egypt VACC will leave a huge hole for VATAME. Norman Blackburn Posted October 22, 2007 at 03:59 AM Posted October 22, 2007 at 03:59 AM Whilst whatever has prompted this is obviously sad within our hobby, it isn't quite the way things work. The only person who can really close a Division is the Regional Director. Since this message doesn't come from him I am temporarily locking the topic until something more substantial is posted. The loss of a website thankfully doesn't mean the loss of a division. Norman
