Mahmoud Fadli 819693 Posted November 5, 2007 at 09:36 PM Posted November 5, 2007 at 09:36 PM There are some updates at VATAME that I wish to speak of at this time. These updates are regarding the current status of the VATAME ATC Academy and VATUAE. It is with great sadness and disappointment that I announce that Mr. John Jones, VATUAE1, has decided to resign from his post as a vACC Director, and has also resigned as chairman of the VATAME ATC Academy, citing various reasons for his departure. As a result, the VATAME ATC Academy has been postponed indefinitely until we determine a feasible solution to this issue. I am currently working on putting together a group of C3 and INST+ members to help with the current training needs. Furthermore, I am working on a detailed report regarding the current status of VATAME and what is needed to help improve the situation. If you wish to help with that report, please see this link: http://forums.vatsim.net/viewtopic.php?t=24720 I am very sorry to be the bearer of bad news; however, I once again ask you all to bare with me. I am doing my very best to help with this situation. Mahmoud A. John Jones 972609 Posted November 5, 2007 at 10:11 PM Posted November 5, 2007 at 10:11 PM Hello, Thank you Mahmoud for your help in the past and thank you Daniel for your kind thoughts. You just never know what can transpire in the future ! I shall still be flying on Vatsim from time to time (leisure time permitting) and no doubt will see one or two of my close ATC friends on the scopes. Vatame needs shaking up and waking up, so I agree with Mahmoud, the report will be important. Good luck to you all for the future.
