Larry James 901346 Posted November 11, 2007 at 02:04 PM Posted November 11, 2007 at 02:04 PM Make sure you're tuned to the controller's frequency. This is covered in the First Flight section of the PRC. Rather than retype the PRC here, why don't you give the steps a test and specify which parts you don't understand, or where it fails and I'd be glad to help clarify the issue. -- L. James -- L. D. Joshua Black Posted November 12, 2007 at 11:50 PM Posted November 12, 2007 at 11:50 PM What program are you using? If VRC (which is prefered) then right click on the controller you wish to observe, click "Request ATIS" It should then give you all the radio informatoin. Go to your comms panel, type in the frequency, server and channel Example: rw.liveatc.net/CZWG_CTR In the server, you type rw.liveatc.net, in the channel, you type CZWG_CTR. Then type in the frequency. Click save changes. Then check in the boxes RX and HDST or SPKR, both are fine. No need in checking the TX since you are only observing, and there is no need to transmit. If you were an active controller, you would check that. But for observing, it is not necessary. Joshua Black

Joshua Black Posted November 14, 2007 at 01:03 PM Posted November 14, 2007 at 01:03 PM Johan, Every controller has something different, which is why you need to right click on a controller from the controller's box, and click "Request atis" To get to your controllers list, click "Tools -----> Controller list." And request atis. Every controller is different. The example I gave you is just the one "I" use when controlling. Joshua Black

By the way, I don't know if you know that you can't receive private messages or not. You sent me a private message, and the reply option fails. I believe it's because your username is too long for the private message system. -- L. James -- L. D.
