Importing 737-400 from FS9 to FSX

Okay, this isn't FSInn or Squawkbox-related, but it does seem like the most appropriate forum to ask this in. If it's not, then mods, please move/remove it at your discretion

Basically, my issue is the following: I have FSX, which only has a B738 (in the 737 series). But I need a B734 as well. The latest FS that has one is FS9.

I read somewhere that you can copy the B734 model folder over to the B738 folder in FSX, and name it something like model.734. In the aircraft cfg, you'll add an entry for the plane and just point the model to that folder. This works, sure enough. (I don't mind having the B738 panel and VC for the B734 at all). The problem comes in when I try to view the VC. I've edited the model.cfg in the model.734 folder to contain the following:

[models]
normal=B737_400
interior=B737_800_interior

The folder contains the .mdl file from FS9, and the 738-interior file from FSX.

When I start up FSX, the plane loads, the model works, the panel works. All good so far. Great. But when you right-click to select a cockpit view, only the 2D "Cockpit" is available. All the other options are greyed out. The aircraft.cfg file still contains all the camera definitions and everything (keep in mind, it's the same aircraft.cfg has the B738's). The entry in the aircraft.cfg (in the B738 folder) looks as follows:

[fltsim.8]
title=Boeing 737-400
sim=Boeing737-800
model=734
panel=
sound=
texture=sa4
kb_checklists=Boeing737-800_check
kb_reference=Boeing737-800_ref
atc_id=Z-BCDE
atc_airline="Springbok"
atc_flight_number=SAA123
ui_manufacturer="Boeing"
ui_type="737-400"
ui_variation="South African Airways"
ui_typerole="Commercial Airliner"
ui_createdby="Microsoft Corporation"
description="South African Airways"

So, if there's a way to get this working, can anyone advise? Or, tell me where I can get hold of a B734 or B735 with a VC, for FSX?

Thanks in advance!
