Ethan Stein 890841 Posted March 23, 2005 at 05:31 PM Posted March 23, 2005 at 05:31 PM Hi all, I was trying the X-Plane demo, and of course the joystick freezes up after 6 minutes but was wondering if anyone could tell me how to use the autopilot. Its completely different then in FS (you can't just click it), particularly the heading indicator; how do you change that?
Mario Pozzetti 892293 Posted March 24, 2005 at 09:47 AM Posted March 24, 2005 at 09:47 AM Your question is not entirely clear to me thus my answer may be side stepped. Anyway, X-Plane is very intuitive, if you want to follow a certain heading all you have to do is select the desired heading with the appropriate knob (with the mouse over it you should see a circular arrow with a + or a - sign depending on the direction) and then hit the HDG button. It doesn't come easier than that. For the other AP functions it's the same process. But as I said before maybe that's not what you asked for. Would you care to elaborate?
