Edward Mosier 902482 Posted December 3, 2007 at 05:23 PM Posted December 3, 2007 at 05:23 PM Yes good luck with the 1300 hours... Ive got over 800 hrs with the rfp 742 with my cargo va, and since moved to the 744, but do the occasional 742 run to keep my type rating current. The rfp 742 is a great plane, and is very complex to operate, but you do not need 1300 hours to instuct on this plane.... Mark McCoy 823112 Posted December 4, 2007 at 05:53 AM Posted December 4, 2007 at 05:53 AM The 25 in B747-225F would indicate that the original purchaser was Eastern, though to the best of my knowledge (and sources) Eastern never purchased a -200 directly from Boeing. It's 2 742's came from Qantas, and the 4 747-100's were never delivered. Essentially the request is for a 747-200F, though I don't think that the 747-225 designator was ever actually used, as no 747-200s were ever purchased by Eastern. I'll suggest that Gaby jump in on this one, however, as she's the Eastern expert.
