Ivan Kovacevic 920456 Posted December 9, 2007 at 03:26 PM Posted December 9, 2007 at 03:26 PM Have you tried contacting Eric, the director of ROvACC To my knowledge, he's still around but with a new job and other real world activities, his virtual time has been limited lately. Eric Bocaneanu 906549 Posted December 9, 2007 at 03:54 PM Posted December 9, 2007 at 03:54 PM Hallo Julian, Hallo Ivan, Ivan-- Yes. I have been in touch with Julian about 6 months ago. At that time I turned him down as we used Romanian extensively in coordination between controllers and he knew very little Romanian. At this time since there are no other controllers in RovACC, this is an non-existent issue. His lack of Romanian language knowlidge is not a problem now. However the lack of a Training Director in ROvACC IS a problem. Julian-- I have received your last email. I am curently in talks with VATEUD Management so we could find a way to train you (and another controller interested in getting ROvACC ATC licence). As soon as we find a way I will contact you. If I do not get back to you within one week please remind me. Eric Bocaneanu ROvACC Director Eric Bocaneanu ROvACC Director

Eric Bocaneanu 906549 Posted December 9, 2007 at 05:55 PM Posted December 9, 2007 at 05:55 PM Julian-- I have sent an email to your hotmail address but it came back. Can you give me another address? Thomas-- Touche Thomas. True. The only requirement is English. English is the international ATC language. However in striving for the highest level of simulation and due to the fact that many of the controllers in ROvACC where real life controllers, we chouse to folow closely all real life procedures, including the vocal coordination. And the vocal coordination procedures are all done in Romanian. Since coordination phraseology needs to be more flexsible, it is not as standardised and the best language for that was at the time Romanian, since this is what the controllers already used in real life. Since all controlers are nwo INACTIVE (including the real life controllers) this is no longer an issue, and that coordination can be done in English, or done away alogheder, with this few controllers. Eric Bocaneanu 906549 Posted December 9, 2007 at 05:57 PM Posted December 9, 2007 at 05:57 PM Daniel-- AS far as I know VATEUD also mentains sector files on it's website but some features are missing. The version on the ROvACC website is designed with all the features for Euroscope, but it is mostly compatible with VRC as well. VRC does not interpret the ARTCC lines well, so they need to be turned off from the map view. Otherwise everything should work as a charm.
