Hello all, I signed up for the MITRE Chicago event next Saturday. So today, I installed "afcads2007.zip" from avsim. I followed the installation instructions perfectly, yet when I go open FS9, the new runway 28/10 is not there. Same thing with all the other airports, such as KDEN, runway 34L/16R is not showing up in FS. All the afcad files are in the addon scenery/scenery folder in my FS. Any thoughts on why the new Afcad files are not showing up?

Go to the Scenery Library options on the main menu after FS9 opens and make sure that Addon Scenery is checked on. Also move Addon Scenery up to the top of the priority list. Then restart the sim, it should "index the new libraries" or something like that, so you know that it worked.

Well, that AFCAD didn't rename that runway for KORD. I just opened the _KORD file in AFCAD 2.21, and whoever created it did not change that runway.

Are you sure about KDEN? I do see runway 34L/16R there. I read the install instructions...did you put each of the .BGL files into the /Addon Scenery/scenery/ folder, or did you put them in a subfolder within that, like:

/Addon Scenery/scenery/AFCADS/

They should, of course, not be within another sub folder. I'll [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ume you didn't do that. I can't really think of anything else though, sorry.
