Sebastian Ayling 1020740 Posted December 28, 2007 at 03:59 PM Posted December 28, 2007 at 03:59 PM Ok i set up my Fmc in the PMDG 747 for fsx enter my dep and arrival airport and the SID and Stars. So im climbing i press LNAV and it starts to take controlof the rout. say im flying to HON it will cross it and start flying to say KIDLI. When crossin HON instead of saying KIDLI 60nm (i don't know the exact distance) it will still have the distance to HON e.g 8nm and say 10 mins later it might say HON 40nm. At kidli instead of goin to the next waypoint it will turn around and start flying back to HON. please help Sebastian Ayling - 1020740
David Klain 874106 Posted December 28, 2007 at 05:02 PM Posted December 28, 2007 at 05:02 PM It sounds as if your FMC is not capturing when you cross HON. Couple of things... - you indicate you press LNAV. Remember that the LNAV and VNAV buttons (and the others like that) only drive the flight director (the little plane on the EADI). You also need to press one of the three autopilot buttons (L, C or R) to engage the autopilot for autoflight. That said, if hand-flying in LNAV mode, as long as you follow the flight director, the FMC should still capture HON. It may be you are not crossing HON close enough, but there is a simple fix to push you to the next leg. In the FMC, go to the LEGS page (which should show HON on the top line and KIDLI underneath it. If you want to proceed direct KIDLI, press the LEFT LSK (button to left of KIDLI). This will put KIDLI in the scratchpad at the bottom of the FMC. Now press the LEFT LSK right next to HON (the top left LSK). It will insert KIDLI at the top and delete HON. The EXEC button now is lit up...press it and you will execute the change and the plane will now proceed direct KIDLI. BTW, this question is more appropriate for the PMDG forums than here...
