Keith Smith Posted January 3, 2008 at 07:00 PM Posted January 3, 2008 at 07:00 PM (edited) How'd it go? Quietly, from what I could see. EDIT: I apologize, that didn't come out right. It was beautifully staffed, but not very well attended by pilots. Edited January 3, 2008 at 11:04 PM by Guest
Ryan Flynn 939022 Posted January 3, 2008 at 10:34 PM Posted January 3, 2008 at 10:34 PM I hope all of the people who have signed up for the event actually show up. Wouldn't look to good if only 200 showed when over 400 have signed up. Totally off topic. Keith - Can we expect any additional ratings from the pilot cert center? David Baker 1004102 Posted January 3, 2008 at 10:48 PM Posted January 3, 2008 at 10:48 PM From O'hare towers perspective it was pretty quiet. I can't speak for the APP/DEP or CTR guys, but I think we could have probably handled 3x4 times the traffic at ORD without difficulty. Ryan Flynn 939022 Posted January 3, 2008 at 10:58 PM Posted January 3, 2008 at 10:58 PM It was given on a days notice though. Well I guess the traffic levels will can be [Mod - Happy Thoughts]essed during the event, eh? 3x4 times I guess I haven't seen it all. How does that work? Would that equal 0? I am beating a dead horse. Haha. Ryan Flynn Southwest Virtual Airlines www.swavirtual.com

David Jedrejcic Posted January 3, 2008 at 11:22 PM Posted January 3, 2008 at 11:22 PM Well I got on, and went as concisely as I could through all the hoops and made sure everything was working, so for me it went well, as a pilot. It didn't seem overly busy, but everyone I talked to was on their game, for what that's worth. I'll plan on hitting you all up for ATC again I imagine between now and then. I can't imagine that half the pilots wouldn't show - I think we'll do better than that.
