Bill Miller 828275 Posted January 14, 2008 at 04:01 PM Posted January 14, 2008 at 04:01 PM Does anyone know if there are any rules that specify the 'uptime' a sector must be active? For example does CTR have to be online XXX hours a month, or APP be online XX hours @month. Also are there any rules that specify a controller must maintain XXX hours @month to be active. Not only at the Sector level but also at the VATUSA level. Bill Miller
Norman Blackburn Posted January 14, 2008 at 04:03 PM Posted January 14, 2008 at 04:03 PM There are no VATSIM rules in regard to how long a position must be up. Norman

Not only at the Sector level but also at the VATUSA level. There are no rules governing sector uptime and I think the chances of such rules going into effect is slim at best. As for the controller activity most ARTCCs impose their own activity requirements, each one is different and there is no VATUSA wide activity requirement.
