Shawn Donnelly 1042464 Posted January 19, 2008 at 05:47 AM Posted January 19, 2008 at 05:47 AM my speedo stops working a few minutes after take off, once cruising ( and I accelerate past the point of " OVERSPEED" ) my speedo re- engages and works properly until I start my descent and hit levels of around 8000 ft. I engage my anti ice and turn it to on position everytime for the whole flight. It seems to only happen on my 777 or 747 planes.... not so much on props. Any suggestions on what I can do to solve this problem?? I'm constantly landing at excess speeds or stalling my way in....

Graham Mitchell 984314 Posted January 20, 2008 at 12:47 AM Posted January 20, 2008 at 12:47 AM Hi Shawn, Not sure what FS or aircraft your using (default or add-on). If it is FS9 (FS2004) default aircraft try pressing {shift+h} to switch on the PITOT heater. Not sure but the PITOT heat does not seem to be linked to the de-ice function. Worth a try. There is no warning light or individual switch for this so just press this once before take off. (pressing it a second time switches it off). Have a look at the aircraft commands on the knee board. BTW:- all the other fs9 aircraft I have tried have a PITOT heat switch but not the 777 or 747. At least I couldn't find one. Hope this helps. BTW:- we don't refer to a speedo in aircraft. The instrument is an Air Speed Indicator and it gives a readout refered to as Indicated Air Speed (IAS) Best regards Graham Mitchell
