change callsign

I have sign with a callsign but then I subscribe to Aeromexico and they give me a new callsign that I have to put in the control panel. when I connecto to th session on vatsim the callsign change to the first that I have. what I have to do to change to the new callsign?? please help me!

I'm sure, regardless of the pilot client you're using, you would just ENTER your preferred callsign before connecting to VATSIM.

 

Look at the setup again and when you're ready to enter the callsign, enter something different.

That fix doesn't work if you have filled in a Net Specific Callsign in the FSInn settings for Vatsim. If a callsign is in there then adding a new one to the Control Panel and pressing ENTER does not change it when you log on, it will immediately revert back to the Net Specific one.What needs to be done in that instance is to go to the FSInn settings, Networks, Vatsim and delete the contents of the Net Specific Callsign box. You will then be able to change it in the Control Panel.

 

This isn't covered in any of the help sources, the first message of the FSInn Help forum, the Wiki or indeed either of the two FAQs. New users may however find that field an intuitive one to fill in, which it is.

Disconnect then reconnect if your using Squawk Box, that's what I do usually.

Thanks for reminding me, Bill. I had meant to add that to the FSInn/VATSIM/FAQ the last time I answered the question.

 

I just added question #10.

 

Edit: I was somewhat generic in my post because the original post didn't specify which pilot client he was running.
