Ethan Stein 890841 Posted April 15, 2005 at 10:01 PM Posted April 15, 2005 at 10:01 PM I've been spoiled by MSFS's easy-to-use GPS Nav System. How do you use the GPS to navigate in X-Plane? The manual says to press Enter/Return, then the up arrow key, but I didn't get anything. Was wondering how to enter in a route/waypoints into the GPS. Mario Pozzetti 892293 Posted April 16, 2005 at 09:18 AM Posted April 16, 2005 at 09:18 AM X-Plane use of the GPS is very simple, you must insert one wayoint at the time, switch the nav button to FMS and hit the LOC/LNAV button. The new Garmin beats the heck out of me cause it's not readable. For a complete flight plan you must use the FMS instrument which albeit primitive works decently well. Keith Smith Posted May 16, 2005 at 08:52 PM Posted May 16, 2005 at 08:52 PM (edited) If you'd like to program the FMS easily...try my plugin: http://webspace.fastp[Mod - Happy Thoughts]es.com/~2656/plugins/cax/fms.html There's also a transponder plugin which squawks stdby/normal automatically based on height above the ground and ground speed...It also squawks VFR if you press Ctrl-Shift-V: http://webspace.fastp[Mod - Happy Thoughts]es.com/~2656/plugins/cax/transponder.html Edited May 17, 2005 at 12:19 AM by Guest
