Taylor Mullin 990273 Posted February 7, 2008 at 07:15 PM Posted February 7, 2008 at 07:15 PM Im considering buying the TIR4, but I have a few questions first: 1-In a heavy clickspot area such as the PMDG overhead panels, how hard or easy is it to click the switch you need, without clicking another one? 2- my headset runs behind my head as opposed to over it. Can the clip thing mount on this style headset?, as I dont want to wear a baseball hat when flying. Thanks guys, Taylor ZLA_TM
Wayne Conrad 989233 Posted February 7, 2008 at 07:18 PM Posted February 7, 2008 at 07:18 PM Taylor, Track-IR uses a button--I think it's F9 by default--to freeze/unfreeze tracking to make it easy to do your panel clicks without small head movements goofing you up. Many people map a mouse button or a yoke button to the freeze/unfreeze-track button to make it convenient. Doing that, it's no problem at all. Freeze, click, unfreeze. Bruno Cote Posted February 8, 2008 at 03:14 AM Posted February 8, 2008 at 03:14 AM I got tempted by trackIR reading this post.....searched for the alternative freetrack but got a bit discouraged with the [Mod - Happy Thoughts]embly. Found this instead.... http://www.cachya.com/esight/overview.php tried the full version today and it indeed works great .... the only skill required to [Mod - Happy Thoughts]emble the gadget is a pair of scissors and some tape.
