Gergely Csernak Posted February 8, 2008 at 07:17 AM Posted February 8, 2008 at 07:17 AM Damien, You even do not have to close the connect dialog. Whenever there is a request for the ATIS EuroScope looks for the data in the dialog box controls and sends it back. And surely you can use any kind aliases, functions that can extract data about the weather, home airport, etc. Also be prepared for the next release really soon. There will be more automatic features and more aliases to provide the piece of ATIS you need. Gergely. EuroScope developer

Gergely Csernak Posted February 9, 2008 at 11:51 AM Posted February 9, 2008 at 11:51 AM Damien, There are no aliases like %id%, %icao%, %vis%. Please check the http://www.euroscope.hu/wiki/index.php?page=Working_with_keyboard page for a complete list of the available functions and aliases. I will check the servinfo and VRoute ATIS content. Philip Smith 997355 Posted February 14, 2008 at 02:36 AM Posted February 14, 2008 at 02:36 AM Hi all, anyone can tell me why the information i wrote in the text atis textbox is not displayed to the others ATC on request? Also, $metar(XXXX) is not working. What i am doing wrong? do we have an autorefresh system, as in VRC? Many thanks Philip Smith
Stephan Boerner 945550 Posted February 14, 2008 at 09:40 AM Posted February 14, 2008 at 09:40 AM You did connect the ATIS? You loaded the metar before you attempted to use it in the ATIS? There is no autorefresh system like in VRC. In the upcoming release you will be able to use external generators which allow you to fully automate the whole ATIS generation process including voice ATIS. In v2.9a you still have to do that on your own. Martin Loxbo Posted February 14, 2008 at 09:48 AM Posted February 14, 2008 at 09:48 AM I think Philip is talking about the "text ATIS" (i.e. Controller Information). I must say I really don't see the need to put weather info in the Controller Information anymore, as voice ATIS works much better. The only situation where I can see a need for it is when covering several airports and you want some basic info for more than one airport. Jean-Frederik Dion 819740 Posted February 15, 2008 at 07:19 PM Posted February 15, 2008 at 07:19 PM Even then, I don't think VATSIM allows it anymore. Need to check... Gergely Csernak Posted February 18, 2008 at 08:32 AM Posted February 18, 2008 at 08:32 AM Philip, What do you notice? What do the others see as your text ATIS? Gergely. EuroScope developer
Philip Smith 997355 Posted February 20, 2008 at 12:20 AM Posted February 20, 2008 at 12:20 AM Thanks for your posts, and great work Gergely. Well, just the voice channel info is broadcasted to the players Gergely(hidden in vroute for example), the rest of the text written in the atis main textbox is not displayed. So i can't write in the atis textbox#1?(main) I just want to have text atis information and runway info, autorefreshed. Many times, you do not have time to write too many things.
