How do I fix oversized position lights in external views FS9

How do I correct this (the huge position light on the tail) in FS9? I have faced this issue in the past, but I can't remember what config file controls the size of position lights in ext. views. I think its either FS9.cfg or aircraft.cfg. The aircraft shown is PIC ERJ, but this happens on others including the stockers as well.

 

The issue is not present in 1024x768 resolution, but is horrible in 3840x1024 which i prefer to use.
