Romano Lara Posted February 10, 2008 at 04:48 AM Posted February 10, 2008 at 04:48 AM As I saw earlier there is someone doing VVTS_TWR and still an S1. And after seeing that I think I'm interested to bring up Vietnam FIR and looking for someone to help me with it and gathering resources for pilots and trainings. All your reply/comments are appreciated. Romano LaravACC Philippines, Manager - Training & Standards
Paul O'Donnell 969350 Posted February 14, 2008 at 11:01 AM Posted February 14, 2008 at 11:01 AM Airport/airspace information, charts and material are incredibly hard to locate for VVTS FIR. If you're interested in controlling in Vietnam contact the staff at VATSEA. There's already some controllers who are allowed to control there. more info can be found on the VATSEA website: http://www.vatsea.net/?go=atc For charts, the only ones we can find are the ones available on the VATASIA website, but these charts are quite old. Ka Iao Leong 982332 Posted February 14, 2008 at 12:33 PM Posted February 14, 2008 at 12:33 PM It is a great idea, certainly it attracts more pilots to fly in the region.
Romano Lara Posted February 14, 2008 at 01:42 PM Author Posted February 14, 2008 at 01:42 PM As Paul said, resources for VVTS are hard to fine. But I knew that already, yea developing this airspace is good and to attract pilots to fly more in the region. I'll just apply as a visiting controller for Vietnam FIR. Thank you very much for the help! Romano LaravACC Philippines, Manager - Training & Standards
Alfred Tang Posted February 15, 2008 at 10:30 PM Posted February 15, 2008 at 10:30 PM I'd love to see more controllers showing up at Vietnam (both Hanoi and Saigon) to make Asia more crowded. Alfred Tang (934809) Director | Hong Kong VACC

Alfred Tang Posted February 17, 2008 at 06:52 AM Posted February 17, 2008 at 06:52 AM I'm one of the developers of the Shanghai vACC, which is pretty similar to the case of Thailand. We definitely need more traffic in eastern Asia to boost the growth of new ACCs. Alfred Tang (934809) Director | Hong Kong VACC
