I've been having issues with the flight plans that I have downloaded from Simroutes.com. The plans for FS9 don't seem to come up when I load them into the FS( flight planner. However, there's not problem with the ones for SB3 or FSINN. I tried rebooting my machine, restarting the sim and redownloading the .PLN file. anyone else experiencing this?

Which directory do you try to load the .pln from? Did you try "My Docomeents\Flight Simulator Files"? For Vista the directory would be different.

For FSInn/VATSIM issues, please test the FSInn Installation sticky and linked FAQ. It really works!

Yeah I put it in the C:\Docomeents and Settings\\My Docomeents\Flight Simulator Files directory installed by FS9 during the setup. That's where I've always put the files. When I load in Fs9, that's the directory that pops up by default.

It's funny, because I look a the file structure and it looks to be the same as all the other PLN files, even the ones the FS9 creates.

Will you put the text from the downloaded *.pln file in a message as in:

---------------------- begin ----------------------------

[flightplan]

title=KLAX to KSFO

description=KLAX, KSFO

type = IFR

routetype = 3

cruising_altitude=0

departure_id=KLAX, N33* 56.55', W118* 24.48', +000126.00

destination_id=KSFO, N37* 37.14', W122* 22.49', +000013.00

departure_name=Los_Angeles_International

destination_name=San_Francisco_Intl

waypoint.0=KLAX, A, N33* 56.55', W118* 24.48', +000000.00,

waypoint.1=RZS, V, N34* 30.57', W119* 46.26', +000000.00, VTU5

waypoint.2=PEGRS, I, N35* 18.77', W120* 39.39', +000000.00, J501

waypoint.3=ZONAL, I, N35* 28.16', W120* 49.90', +000000.00, J501

waypoint.4=BSR, V, N36* 10.88', W121* 38.53', +000000.00, BSR2

waypoint.5=CARME, I, N36* 27.31', W121* 52.78', +000000.00, BSR2

waypoint.6=ANJEE, I, N36* 44.78', W121* 57.89', +000000.00, BSR2

waypoint.7=SKUNK, I, N37* 00.46', W122* 01.99', +000000.00, BSR2

waypoint.8=BOLDR, I, N37* 10.25', W122* 04.57', +000000.00, BSR2

waypoint.9=MENLO, I, N37* 27.82', W122* 09.22', +000000.00, BSR2

waypoint.10=KSFO, A, N37* 37.14', W122* 22.49', +000000.00, BSR2

------------------------ end -------------------------

I'll see if it will work on my machine. I've never had a problem with loading the files. I even use notepad to customize the plans and proceed to load them into Flight Simulator.

Chris. There seems to be a problem with the flight plan. I was trying to figure out what it was, but so far I can't. It very closely resembles all the FS9 flight plans I have both from having personally created and edited, created with FS9 and exported from simroutes.com.

It's a mystery to me that it doesn't work.

Well thanks for trying anyway. Perhaps a waypoint isn't recognized or something.

Cheers
