Alfred Tang Posted March 3, 2008 at 10:58 PM Posted March 3, 2008 at 10:58 PM In Taipei FIR and Hong Kong FIR, controllers mostly use English (a must in Hong Kong) as the language they communicate with the pilots. You should have no problems with controlling at these two FIRs if Chinese is not a language that you can speak. And for your information, in the rest of the FIRs in China, controllers do use Chinese to communicate with pilots who can speak the language and English with pilots from other countries.
