There used to be a group of french controllers that opened positions in Tahiti once a week, but I've not seen them online in almost a year. Contact them on their website at http://pagesperso-orange.fr/voler.ensemble/topic1/index.html

You can still state your intentions on this forum or better yet on the VATPAC forum at http://www.vatpac.org/forums/index.php

State your routes, and number of pilots and perhaps someone may open an ATC position there.

Charts for Tahiti and French Polynesia can be found at http://www.sia.aviation-civile.gouv.fr/default_uk.htm

good luck and happy landings

Hi Bill,

Great to hear your interested in controlling in Tahiti. First you have to change regions. Go to www.vatsim.net and select on the left pane "Member Services" and "Account Changes". Next Select change region and choose "Oceania"

You will also have to select the VATPAC division

Once the transfer takes place you will get a welcome email from the Oceania Division & VATPAC. Once you receive the welcome emails go to the www.vatpac.org website and review the training criteria.

Good Luck

Hello, Jeff

The site of FPCG (French Pacific Control Group) is now : http://stanislaschavelet.free.fr/ (sorry in french at this time , english soon ...)

Our forum : http://fpcg.aceboard.fr/232296-1608-7349-0-Nouveau-site.htm

There is in english and french .

Unfortunatly , we control in TAHITI not regularly..

We spent our time on the developpement of VATFRANCE : http://vatfrance.org/

I give information for the next session here.

Hey,

I'm going to be off of school for month by next week so I like to get started to do ATC in Tahiti if possible. I speak French to.

When do I need to do to get ready?

Ia Orana Adam,

I see you are not an ATC controller yet. If you are a member on VATSIM in the Oceania region you must select a division. Either VATPAC or VATNZ. French Polynesia and New Caledonia are under the jurisdiction of VATPAC on VATSIM (but VATNZ and VATPAC have equal rights to control in either division). If you are not a membero of Oceania then please follow the instructions I gave William Monroe in the thread above.

Once you have selected your division, contact the divisions training department for scheduling training to get your career as a virtual ATC started.

The divisions' websites are:

www.vatpac.org

www.vatnz.net

Good Luck and welcome to VATSIM OCEANIA!
