Thomas Campbell Posted April 30, 2005 at 04:16 PM Posted April 30, 2005 at 04:16 PM I'm a newbie and noticed that most of the other aircraft that show up on the session are painted in their appropriate paint schemes. i.e. American Airlines, Air Canada, etc. Do the Squawkbox model sets automatically repaint your plane to match your call sign? I repainted my B-737 in Southwest and Northwest colors so that I see those colors when I view my airplane, but what do other players see? I went into a FS9 default multi-player session with a friend and all he could see was the default FS9 aircraft paint scheme no matter what paint scheme I was using. I didn't want to bother another player on the ramp next to me to ask him what he was seeing during a VATSIM session.
Thomas Campbell Posted April 30, 2005 at 04:25 PM Author Posted April 30, 2005 at 04:25 PM Ummm - I think I found the answer in the PRC. The program will automatically show the appropriate model to other players if the options are chosen correctly in the setup. I only need the repaint to see my own aircraft in the appropriate colors. Is that correct?

Yes your model/repaint in FS2004 as you see your self is NOT direct connected how other see you. How other see you depend only on your selection aircraft/model/airline in the Vatsim software (Squawkbox or FSInn) when you connect. / Lennart Vedin /
