Hey folks. We have been working hard and usually working the late nights to ensure that we get the ball rolling thoroughly. It is with great pleasure (and relief) that I report that the VATSIM Middle-East division is becoming more and more independant, and is in great health. As every day comes we seem to be growing in both size and strength. We have a few updates.

Anas Kheir announced VATME6

The VATSIM Middle East Division proudly announces the appointment of Mr. Anas Kheir to the post of Public Relations Manager.

Mr. Kheir will bring to VATSIM Middle East many contacts from the Middle Eastern flight community, as well as valuable experience as a real world pilot in Jordan. Although Anas is quite new to the community, he proves no lack in knowledge and we are delighted to have him with us.

VATME delighted to report growth

Over the recent week VATME has reported a major growth with many controllers taking up the headset in the Middle-East. Around 10 controllers have joined from Observer or transferred from other division. VATME is delighted to see such a growth and happy to see interest in the division. We are also glad to be able to provide the controllers with the resources to get them started in their new area.

VATME proud to unveil division-wide forums

In the early hours of this morning. Directors Mahmoud Fadli, Luke Harvest and Training Director Daniel Doorgakant completed work on the forums. We hope that the forum will keep the division united and maintain a valuable amount of co-ordination between vACCs. We have various categories to aid the management and the public. We also have a dedicated Virtual Airline section managed by Brain Sherman, VATME5 to enable Virtual Airlines operating in/out of the Middle-East to keep us updated, as we hope to maintain a relationship with all VA's around the division. Also, keep updated with our Calendar. The staff will be regularly adding events/exams/major mentoring sessions on there that may be what you are looking for.

So whether you're part of the division as an ATCO/Pilot or just interested in the procedings, sign up today and keep updated on the Middle-East!
