Sunday Night Ops for 20th April 2008 - VATNZ Supports VATPAC Rolling Thunder NZAA <--> YSNF <--> YSSY

 

 

This Sunday our SNO (Sunday Night Operations) is supporting our sister Oceania Division, VATPAC with their full weekend of ATC event "Rolling Thunder".

 

VATPAC controllers are getting together in Sydney and setting up a network of controllers in the same building from Friday night to Sunday night to provide an extensive ATC service throughout Australia. To show VATNZ's support, we are planning to fly from Auckland to Sydney via a stop at Norfolk Island and then arrive into Sydney's airspace in the last part of their Rolling Thunder event.

 

The anticipated sector time (block to block) is two hours to Norfolk Island and then about another three hours from Norfolk to Sydney, so this will mean getting away a little earlier than normal.

 

For pilots unable to fly for five hours, you are are invited to join the event in Norfolk Island about 19:00 NZST and fly the leg to SYD.

  NZZC_FSS - Auckland Radio

To reserve a particular ATC position, please post a message to that effect (including the times you expect to be online) in this thread. If possible, also book your position using vRoute - large numbers of bookings in vRoute attract additional traffic.
