Stephen Odgaard Posted April 16, 2008 at 04:07 PM Posted April 16, 2008 at 04:07 PM Gergely, I need a bit of clarification. Is it correctly understood that the AIRWAYS.TXT file only relates to the decipering of the aircrafts route, and only to that, hereby meaning that the Display of Airways, FIXES, VOR, NDB, Airports etc all are extracted from the .SCT file? Did you consider taking on the full NAVAID database from NavData, thereby allowing easier upgrade of Navdata? Oliver Gruetzmann Posted April 16, 2008 at 04:37 PM Posted April 16, 2008 at 04:37 PM Correct, all the displayed data is still taken from the sectorfile as in VRC. Only the route prediction depends on the airway.txt file.
Gergely Csernak Posted April 18, 2008 at 07:47 PM Posted April 18, 2008 at 07:47 PM Stephen, Oliver is right. So far we did not think about the airway display based on the AIRWAY.TXT. Actually it is possible to do so, but probably needs some more time to build the display as there are a little bit more data than in an average SCT file. Gergely.
