Radomir Vencek 947557 Posted May 3, 2008 at 06:33 PM Posted May 3, 2008 at 06:33 PM Hi. Is there any way how to define some unnamed points in SID/STAR definitions. Usually non-RNAV procedures don't contain named fixes. So definition of these procedures require definition of many non real existing fixes. Entering just Lat:Lon information instead of named fixes would help. But it's not working this way. Rada
Todor Atanasov 878664 Posted May 3, 2008 at 09:28 PM Posted May 3, 2008 at 09:28 PM Well what I did was to enter new points with names like D23452 with the needed coordinates in the sct file and then use them for SID/STAR. As for now, the only way to define a SID/STAR is by FIX, VOR and NDB. EuroScope BETA Tester/Board of Designers
Wycliffe Barrett Posted May 6, 2008 at 02:44 PM Posted May 6, 2008 at 02:44 PM Todor I have some fixes missing off of my sector file in the south west of the UK. Such as Amral, Riles and a couple of others. Even though I have downloaded the lastest sector file and ese from Matthew Reeve who [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ures me that those fixes are in I still cant see them. I thought I might be able to add them as lat longs using the freetext function and adding them that way. I tried this but it just didnt work unless I was saving in the wrong place. Stephan Boerner 945550 Posted May 6, 2008 at 03:15 PM Posted May 6, 2008 at 03:15 PM I just checked ... AMRAL and RILES are in the latest egtt.sct from Matthew. Did you try ".find AMRAL" ? Wycliffe Barrett Posted May 6, 2008 at 04:55 PM Posted May 6, 2008 at 04:55 PM No That said I know exactly where Riles should be and I cant dang well see it. So perhaps it isnt on the sector file that I have open. Whihc I suspect is the case. Todor Atanasov 878664 Posted May 6, 2008 at 08:32 PM Posted May 6, 2008 at 08:32 PM ES has some sort of "bug"...it doesn't load the new file right away....check that the file ES loads is the new file, also check again the display settings for the point (altho the .find command should work). Wycliffe Barrett Posted May 6, 2008 at 09:22 PM Posted May 6, 2008 at 09:22 PM All sorted It took me awhile to realise that each time I opened the sector file it was opening the old one. I hadn't pointed to the correct file doh! Anyway all sorted all fixes in place and colour reset.
