Kevin Henderson 976708 Posted May 9, 2008 at 01:42 PM Posted May 9, 2008 at 01:42 PM I am adding aircraft on to final using the add command. The aircraft will fly the glideslope all the way down to 14 feet above the runway but won't land. Instead they will enter a pattern that is simply a circle with a diameter of 0.5 miles and come back to the threshold only 4 feet above the airport altitude. The planes continue circling forever at that altitude. In the TwrTrainer program box it shows the plane for example, Final 7R, Left Traffic. The instructions for the aircraft are Full stop. Exiting left. Anyone have any ideas? Kevin Henderson Anchorage Air Traffic Manager
Mark Richards Posted May 10, 2008 at 12:12 AM Posted May 10, 2008 at 12:12 AM After adding them, did you type .ef xx (enter final where xx is the runway) and then .fs for Make Full Stop Landing??? Kevin Henderson 976708 Posted May 10, 2008 at 01:42 AM Author Posted May 10, 2008 at 01:42 AM I do not tell them to enter final or come to a full stop as per the docomeentation adding an aircraft on final already does those things. Like I said in the original post the program shows the aircraft as on final and instructions for a full stop. Once I did tell the aircraft to make a full stop and there was still no change in it's behavior. Mark Richards Posted May 10, 2008 at 11:50 PM Posted May 10, 2008 at 11:50 PM Hmmm... now that is strange - might have to Ross's domain to answer that one. Mark Richards (811451) Auckland, New Zealand
